So we are at Laura and Bill's now, after celebrating Laura's birthday last night in the best way we know how: getting rowdy and playing board games. :D

Last night I tried to make gluten-free fried. Using buckwheat flour in place of wheat flour (from a suggestion on a messageboard), and using Alton Brown's fish n' chips batter recipe (with Bard's Tale as the beer), I battered and fried up some mozz sticks and pickles. They came out really good, but next time we'll cut the buckwheat with another type of flour, possibly rice. We'll see. :)
