Weekend
Yeah, so, another weekend gone without even feeling like there was a weekend. *le sigh*
Friday night we headed to illuminari's for board game fun. We played Caylus and I came in second (but I built the cathedral, hooray!!!). It was a lot of fun. I really like that game.
Saturday morning, we got AAA to come out for my car... Wait, how did I not write about this? So my car wouldn't start at the beginning of last week. All of the lights and everything came on ok, but when you turned the key? *click click click click* Wednesday comes, and I realize that my car is on the wrong side of the street for street-sweeping. Not wanting another ticket, Jon pushes my car all over the place looking for a legal parking spot. We try to jump-start it, and no dice. So I cancel my oil change on Saturday and decide I will have to have it towed in to Saturn on Saturday morning. Yeah, so Saturday morning comes, and we put in for a "battery boost" with AAA, and say that we might need a tow. The guy comes out, and lo and behold, the car starts immediately. I'm very happy, and make sure to thank the very surly mechanic for his help. To which he replied "*grunt*". I drive Jon to work, drive around for a bit more, then go get my oil changed and get talked into buying windshield wipers (which I needed anyway). For $13. EACH. *grumble*
ANYHOO, I spent the rest of the day downloading *^$#&^ patches for WoW, and finally got to play for like two hours. The first hour or so involved me getting killed over and over by the same spider as soon as I resurrected. I then made a different character and proceeded to kick some wolf, trogg, and troll ass. So I'm happier with the game now that I have gotten some quests under my belt. We'll see what happens though. I won't exactly get to use much of my 10 day trial, since I was gone yesterday, and will be busy every night until Thursday.
... Well, that was a fun little tangent, eh?
Saturday night we headed to Deb's housewarming party, which was lots of fun. :) Jon totally threw a lightswitch rave, haha!
Sunday we went to Jon's cousin's place for a birthday party, after we stopped at Dick's (har har) and his parents bought him his birthday present of a brand new shiny bike. :) Then we went to his parents' place and fell asleep while watching Good Eats episodes. :)
We got Punjabi Dhaba for dinner (YUM!) after doing the dishes together, and then watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, which Jon hadn't seen in its entirety before. He liked it, hooray!
Today was slow at work, and I'm looking forward to wings tonight.
Oh, P.S. I forgot... I actually need a new car battery because this one no longer keeps a charge very well. At least it's not the starter.
