How much does UPS suck?

Let's review, shall we?

I ordered Jon's birthday present on the 9th (a Saturday). I got emails with shipping and tracking info on the 11th. They said it would be delivered on the 18th.

On Friday, this is what the tracking info said:
    SOMERVILLE, MA, US 09/15/2006 3:45 A.M. OUT FOR DELIVERY

Whoas! A few days early, nice!

But... The end of the day came and went. No package.

Monday, I checked again. No update to the status. I called them, and they said that it would be delivered today, Tuesday. Ok. I'm disappointed, but ok.

This morning I check the tracking info, and it says:
    SOMERVILLE, MA, US 09/18/2006 8:55 P.M. DESTINATION SCAN

Weird. Why are they scanning it at 9pm if it's going to be delivered the next day? Ok, they must know what they're doing, right?

WRONG, BITCH!
    SOMERVILLE, MA, US 09/19/2006 12:04 P.M. THE RECEIVER DID NOT WANT THE ORDER AND REFUSED THIS DELIVERY

Buh?!?!?!!?!?!?!?! There is no one here that would refuse this delivery. No one. Hell, we've accepted deliveries for people who don't even work here! My guess is the guy came up and didn't look hard enough to find our office door, or maybe he knocked instead of ringing the doorbell and no one heard it. And he decided he didn't feel like expending any effort to actually, you know, do his job.

I called and complained, and the area office called me back already and said that they would talk to the driver and make sure he came back around.

Seriously though. This is way too much work on my part to get a package delivered.

And this is why I hate UPS.

What can brown do for you? Jack shit, apparently.
