It's amazing - the birds coming to our feeders in the middle of what the KC Star has called "the Blizzard of Oz." Juncos, cardinals, starlings, finches, wrens, sparrows, brown creepers and downy woodpeckers. This little guy is getting some much-needed energy from one of our suet feeders.
What is even more amazing is that Kate saw a flock of robins in our woods this morning! No idea why they'd still be around: usually they'll hang around a food source but they already stripped the hackberry trees and wild honeysuckle days ago and we thought they'd moved on. Must be something still here to attract them.
