i am so blessed to be a riverbender. i am so proud to say that i've been a member for the last 10 years of my life, seeing dr. mann's vision of a grace church turn into a reality, a family of 7,000+ people. i love it at riverbend, it's my home, and i'm so sad that i will be leaving it soon. i had the opportunity of serving these wonderful people lunch for an hour and a half after the 25th anniversary service. everyone was so friendly and welcoming toward everyone. although it is a huge congregation, and i only know a small percentage of the people, i feel so loved and accepted every time i step foot into the home for hope. thank you gerald mann, and i am so proud of you. thank you for giving me such a wonderful place that has impacted and influenced my life in so many wonderful ways. i am now open minded because of your visions. i've complained over the years, but i am proud of your 45 years in the ministry. thank you.
"how many riverbenders does it take to screw in a light bulb? all of them, because we are a family."
"how many baptists does it take to screw in a light bulb? one and three committees to approve it, and to come up with who will bring the fried chicken."
gerald mann. (sorry if anyone is offended)
i'm out.
