Great Weekend
I finally had a completely relaxing weekend. I went home to see my sisters and we had such fun. I took the phys test on Friday instead of today just to have it out of the way so I could enjoy my weekend. Then on the way home I stopped and shopped at the outlet mall for Georgia's tax free weekend. Got some school clothes. My mom cooked good food all weekend for me and sent lots of it back with me too. I finally got to meet the new puppy that my sister picked out for the family. She is so cute. I wish I could have a dog in Atlanta but I can't afford it. Livvy and I rented some cheesy movies and went to the pool twice. Being out in the sun was great. We also went to see Talladega Nights with Alli. All the people in the movie were so country and everything was hilarious to them. It was funny and the movie was really funny too. Hmmm...guess that's about all we did but I was busy the whole weekend. I even managed to catch up on a little reading for class. It was good to get away from school because I felt like I could relax and not feel bad for not studying. And it's great to be closer to home than I was in Birmingham, the two days at home was the right amount of time. At first when I arrived home I felt strange and wanted to go back to Atlanta, but then when I left yesterday I missed my sisters already. But I will probably see them again within the next two months so no worries.
Today in class we got presents from the DPT2's. Emory DPT t-shirts, gait belts, and goniometers. Not exciting to anyone not going to be a PT but it was to us, and it was all free. So yay!
The nurses came to give immunizations today and they had to draw blood from me even though I know I had the HepB titer already run by my doctor. I was kinda annoyed. And the nurse was really slow drawing my blood, I'm use to the nurses being fast so she made me feel a little like I was going to pass out. But oh well, it's over, but now my arm kinda hurts.
I wanted to go to the pool today and lay out. I feel like summer will be over soon and I have barely spent any time outside and I want to make up for it while I can. But anyway, it's kinda cloudy but then the sun comes out for a minute so I couldn't decide. So I guess I will just work on my to-do list today.
