If only life hadn't been busy happening while I was making other plans, I'd be heading to Pennsic today. Instead, I must needs content myself with an on-line fascimile.

So are there any topics pertaining to the Middle Ages or the SCA that interest those reading my poor and oft-neglected journal?

I was thinking of you today. How are you doing?

As to a SCAdian topic, I'll share with you my latest fascination: court theater of the time of Henry VIII and onwards. It stems from a conversation about it on Monday when I was at Pennsic, and it's something I'd like to explore enough to write a paper and/or teach about.

All right, I think. Disappointed about missing the Wakefield Cycle at Pennsic. ;-) I'm mostly settled into my parents' home, and have surgery on Monday.
