Like it's my job...

Hooray for procrastination! Not really. I can’t afford to do that right now. Lots of stress, lots of drama, and yes, life can be scary and unpredictable. But despite all of that not-so-good stuff, life is made up of certain little things that can bring a smile to your face:

-Resting your head on your pillow after a long day
-Play dough
-Funny pictures of friends
-Sleeping in
-Your favorite song
-Being inside and warm on a cold day
-Sunlight reflecting off the water
-Swings
-Playing in the leaves
-A train whistle in the distance
-A hot shower
-Time spent with people you love

This past weekend was spent with friends and family. It’s kind of funny how your friends slowly begin to become your family after a while.

I won’t go into all of the details but the main idea is this: I realized how incredibly lucky I am to have certain people in my life. I have met some really amazing people this year and have become better friends with others. It doesn’t matter if they are old friends, new friends (I’ll spare you the rest of the Dr. Seuss reference) they are all truly wonderful. In the aftermath of this weekend’s festivities I was having a discussion with a friend and he said no matter what happens “never leave a man behind.” How very true.

Sometimes all it takes is a shot of reality (or Jello?) to help you realize this. Right guys? All for one.
