Oh, baseball.
Apparently, the Red Sox are thinking of trading Manny Ramirez to the Florida Marlins. And, you know, seeing as how these two teams are my favorites, I should be okay with this. But I'm not. The Red Sox and the Marlins are two completely different beasts. The Red Sox have their extremely well-paid big name sluggers, and, for the past few years at least, have been (somewhat) consistently good. The Marlins, on the other hand, have a whole team of unknowns who get by on singles and doubles and by being fast. With the exception of maybe this year and two others in their 15-year existence, they're...not good. At all. However, they have a great chemistry as a team, and I think a big name like Ramirez would do a lot to screw it up. No offense to Ramirez. I love him with the Red Sox. I just don't want him near the Marlins.
