Over the course of one day in the non-holiday season, I tend to make, on average, $1 in tips. It's generally comprised of loose change that people don't want. I spend whatever singles and some of the quarters I get, and I just toss everything else into a bunch of empty tea tins. As of earlier today, I was working on filling up my third tin.
So, my mom finally convinced me to count out allllll the loose change I've collected in the past 18 months. I was thinking I had somewhere about $40-$50. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be over $150. Thank you, random customers! Now I won't go broke this holiday season.
Anyway, I hope everyone's doing all right. Work's been crazy lately, what with mystery shops, our big semi-annual inspection by corporate, the cafe lead taking an emergency leave of absence, and the usual holiday madness.
