Funny bestie fact #834 - I've seen Titanic in theaters the same amount of times as you. Funny, right? :D

That trailer gave my feelings feelings and my goosebumps even more goosebumps! Whoever that editor was has my praise and awe forever because ohmigod.

Nothing too big! My birthday falls on Thanksgiving, but you knew that. :D My sister will be home, and we're planning dinner and things like that. I'm looking forward to a nice, looooong weekend!

Oh, holy hell. I'll be over here covered in goosebumps. I can hate on that movie all I want but at the end of the day, it's TITANIC, for God's sake. It's a legendary film. And AHHHHH LEO!

Oh god, I know. I walk around all high and mighty most of the time, panning the film as a gross overreach of moviemaking palaver. But at the end of the day I still cry every time that Celine Dion song comes on.

Dude. I didn't even know I could cry that hard, and then I rewatched it last month, and that moment with the two widdle babies in the steerage cabin getting lulled to sleep by the Mom so they're asleep WHEN THEY DIE? Oh my GOD. WEEPING.

It's on E!, like, compulsively. Every time I'm at the gym I end up catching it at different points in the story and I am secretly glad that working out makes me all red and flushed, because otherwise people would know that I am experiencing big tracts of emotion when the BAND GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIP.

I am totally going to see this when it comes back to theaters.

I watched it four and a half times in the theater, the half was when the film had an issue and I own the soundtrack. That movie was part of high school for me and one of the reasons Kate Winslet is one of my favorite actresses.

Good God, I am going to BAWL LIKE CRAZY watching this, just like I did the first time I saw it. I've been a Titanic nut since I was twelve and Cameron just kicked me in the gut with so many things (the passenger telling his daughter to "hold Mummy's hand and be a good girl"? That was the last thing one of the survivors ever heard from her father. AUGH).

...And then I *was* thinking of going to Halifax in April...

Oh, Titanic. I saw it a couple of times in theatres, and my parents got me the duel VHS (LOL;) tapes for my birthday that year. I would sit there and watch it over and over again, and cry and cry. As much as I loathe aspects of it (HISTORIAL INACCURACY, YOU LET HIM GO YOU BITCH, CELINE DION), it's one of those movies that I will always, always love, even it I can't admit it to myself half of the time.

Speaking of the Titanic, I think there's some big things going on here during the anniversary - what with our ties to the ship and all. I just remembered this ... so now I'm all sorts of excited!
