I just got a big box of author's copies yesterday, and then shortly after, a letter from F & W telling me to watch for the box--now THAT is fast! Thank you, North Light Books, and to my editors and designers!

Watercolor Tricks & Techniques: 75 New and Classic Painting Secrets It's available almost a month early--originally it was going to be February 10, I think, and Amazon will have it January 19. Wahoo!
I am SO pleased with the job they did with printing and layout...this is my first all-digital book, and the color's GREAT. It's on slick, very white paper, so reproduction is crisp and clean...
As I've said before, it's a re-working of a book I did over 20 years ago, bringing it into the 21st Century, and it's probably 70-80% new.
New text, new examples, new demos, new step-by-step, in addition to new materials and supplies that weren't even available 20 years ago. (The cover art is watercolor on clayboard--sure didn't have THAT in 1988!)
I'm very pleased...haven't had time to get it up on my own website yet, but if it's available on Amazon I expect it will be at Barnes & Noble and in the stores soon, too.
It's a different type of book, a stand-up so you can look at it in your studio. Let me know what you think!
