Checking In
I'm back in the land of my nativity for the Christmastide, as happens most years. This year it feels particularly indulgent though, as I was just out here in November for Thanksgiving (my parents were in country, and thought it would be just as easy to fly me here, as for them to fly to where I was).
Also, there have just been so very many trips this year. Eleven states, three round-trip flights (though admittedly, I only paid for one of those), one christening, one wedding, one gaming convention, one leisurely walk into an indian reservation, four national parks, so many tourist traps, and heaven only knows how many miles by car. It's been a busy year, so it's only fitting that I should cap it off with one more trip.
And now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go into town to do some last minute shopping, and eat green corn tamales until I can no longer lift my fork to my mouth. I may write more after they roll me home.
