Reading some accounts of savage cyberbullying in the progressive community has reminded me of just how minor my own encounter with the online bullies has been. I've only been ridiculed, shunned, and lied about; as damaging as that has been, I haven't been threatened or stalked, or even harassed, really. (Well, at least not by my fellow progressives. Now, back in the day...) Anyway, these postings also offer definitions of bullying and suggested actions to take or avoid.

yet another teenager's death. As horrifying as these instances are, they're just the very worst outcomes: the bullying targets who don't harm themselves still face lifelong anxiety and depression. It's not a question of whether, oh noes!, "someone will get hurt". Bullying is harming people right now.
