If the god under discussion is the one I think it is, a polite suggestion that he buy his dad some anti-dandruff shampoo for Father's Day might be more effective...

Sad, tired, and lonely tonight in Rotorua. I'm missing tonight's Maori Cultural Event (of no doubt impeccable authenticity) because I'm sunburned, dehydrated, but most of all, destroyed by all the early mornings. Package tour = hard work. And I don't have the septagenarians' stamina!

I hope you told him exactly how often he should cry. Also where and when can make a big difference. Papatuanuku is feeling quite fragile at the moment.
