It's About To Get Even Busier!!!
Sooooo..... I got cast in this play that I auditioned for last weekend. And I have a pretty big part- which is pretty fabulous! The downside? I have rehearsals 4 times a week for the next month and I had to drive all the way to Pasadena for them... which I mean isn't thaaat bad.... but I cringe with the gas prices.
I read through the full script tonight, looks like it'll be fun.... apparently my character kills someone and then gets killed... ahahahah hmmm.... at least I don't killed off til the END of the play!
Anyways, I've basically had to write up a schedule for everything- I told them over at Blu Jam that I can only work the morning shifts mon-fri and I have to give Starbucks my rehearsal nights and new hours... luckily I can still work the weekends over there, which is most likely where all my hours over the next month are going to come from.
I'm definitely excited to be a part of a full 3-act, I've been doing a lot of smaller plays lately. And this fills the void of time from the end of this season with my theater company- our shows are this weekend and that ends off the season. And the next season doesn't start until the end of July, so I'm happy that I'll still be acting in that time.
BTW.... true to what happens with me.... my character in this play is a spoiled bitch- and it's a time period piece, meaning that it's set in 1939.... hm, when I auditioned I pretty much gave them Katharine Hepburn... maybe that's what got it.... and ya know... I auditioned for this piece on Hepburns birthday....LMAO! I think it'll be fun to play a period piece!!!
Next thursday is going to be horrific... here's what my schedule looks like: 7:45-1 work at Blu Jam 2-6:30 work at Starbucks.... then be in Pasadena by 7pm for a table read of the play and home by 9:30 so I can leave by 10:30 for a 1am flight home to Minnesota where I FINALLY get a fucking weeks vacation!!!!!
