while i avoid stydying for an art history exam
its thunderstorming like mad here. or it was rather, it quieted down over the course of the past half hour. i was outside before it did though, and am soaking through and through.
thankfully it is not too cold, because i finally went to drop off my depiosit for italy. my eskimo jaket took a beating.
florence will be great. ill be takng art history, italian, and moodern italian poetry in translation classes at a university there. that will be amazing. a lack of a phone and an internet connetion may be a problem (as could be living with a family that does not speak any english), but itll be great.
i have to brush up on my italian, so ill sit in on a class.
for the summer im hoping to get an internship either at a museum or some oter art center. i had a bit of a trouble landing thath last year, because they kind of dont like college freshmen all that much. this year the problem will be that i will not be here when people are applyng for these positions. so will see how that will work out.
rain, perfect blogging weather. i have my coffee, my chicken tikka masala [from last nights femminist discussion that was not all too popular with the apathetic union community], ny times, war and peace....
