Summary: Fluff & busy days {

Disclaimer: Don't ownn, don't sue
It's a busy kind of day. Not just a one interview and that night's show day, but a mother fucking busy, three interviews, photo shoot in the morning, tonight’s show, and DVD shoot kind of day.
It's a busy kind of day.
Alex is probably going to be the busiest today. Him or Matt, Jack supposes. Matt's always working nonstop, though. Jack knows Matt will be in to wake them up any minute but, really, he's just content to lie here with Alex snoring softly beside him. A lock of hair has fallen in Alex's eyes but Jack doesn't want to move it. He doesn't want to wake him.
Matt does so for him. Banging on the door, he reminds them of the very early time. Alex groans himself awake, "Fuck."
Jack's already in the shower by the time Alex rises & makes himself a cup of coffee. He's made one for Jack too, because that's what he does.
Then, Jack's freshly clothed, Zack's asking for Starbucks, and Matt is ushering them all out of the hotel in a hurry.
Rian notices Alex lack of getting up on time first, "Dude, didn't you have those on last night?" Alex realizes Rian is right, but decides 'who cares, right' and just shrugs at Rian while lacing his hand with Jack's.
"Did you sleep good?" he asks. Jack nods, lying because he never sleeps when Alex is around. He'd rather be awake, even if Alex is asleep. Alex hates that Jack does this, but he can't do anything about it.
Right now, he's busy. Matt is barking orders like a war sergeant and all four boys know better than to not listen.
The photo shoot is easy, if not long. It's with Adam; they all know him. He doesn't pose often, which means they actually have to wake up & have some fun. Alex doesn't mind. He loves to have fun, especially with Jack around.
Alex is an optimist, a dreamer, a romantic, and a visionary. He transcendentalizes everything; love, music, rights, and writing. All of it, he carries beyond the limit. He loves Jack more than he should, writes lyrics most people would be afraid to face, fights - whether he agrees or not - for the right things, and is forever scribbling down the deep thoughts floating around in his head that even world leaders would be and are afraid to say.
Now Matt's driving them to the first interview. Alex takes the time to update his twitter.
There's something to be said about doing a photoshoot in the same clothes you got wasted and passed out in.
Jack admires that Alex would admit that to the world, only further proving the out of this world attitude of Alex.
Two interviews down and Matt succumbs to the pleas for lunch. Jack suggests White Castle because he knows it's Alex's favorite. Alex is in a single interview and isn't around to vouch for himself.
Alex thanks Jack with a smile as they wrap their arms around each other in the back seat of the van. Zack & Rian tease them, but, really, who cares? The video shoot is just a guy following them around during all the pre-show set up and rituals.
Jack steals Alex away as sneakily as he can and they stow away in a tiny dressing room closet to commence the ever present pre-show make out session. The cameras film them onstage, so Alex is sure to be extra flirty with Jack - just to please the fans, of course.
Upon exiting the stage Matt informs them of ‘just one more interview’ that Alex has to do. Jack is a little bit disappointed because they also have a post-show make out ritual that’s now cancelled. He doesn’t mind too much, though, because Alex doesn’t seem to mind.
"Now, Alex," the interviewer is talking seriously. Jack wonders what the question is. He's behind the camera while Alex is flat in front of it. Alex is instructed, "Take a breath." He does.
"What is she doing?" Matt murmurs at Jack's side. Jack doesn't really know either, the show's about to switch to commercial anyway.
"-and ask yourself what matters-" Alex eyes flick straight over to Jack and Jack's heart is melting so bad that he doesn’t hear the rest of the question. He had really expected Alex to give some long, drawn out answer about music and how it got him through 'some hard times'. The commercial was on now, so Alex left the stage, walking to the green room with Jack on his heels. Jack intends to tell Alex how perfect of a boyfriend he is, but the moment the door is shut behind him Alex’s lips are sliding against his own in quite possibly the sweetest kiss they’ve ever shared. It’s hesitant and closemouthed but it’s perfect. It’s like a first kiss, but with so much more meaning.
“I’m what matters?” Jack smirks, running his fingers through Alex’s hair. Alex nods, his nose brushing Jack’s. Jack hums a bit, thinking of his next words. “Take a breath,” he instructs.
Alex opens his eyes curiously & Jack nods encouragingly. Alex does as asked.
“I’ll show you what matters to me,” Jack promises in a whisper, his lips ghosting dangerously close to Alex’s ear. Alex shivers & Jack smiles against his lips. “You’re always on my mind,” Jack admits. Alex opens his eyes again, pulling back a bit to look at Jack. “You’re always on my mind and everything I do is with you in mind; you’ve fucking invaded my head. I can’t get you out and I really don’t want to. I love that I don’t sleep, even when you do, because I get to watch you; the way you smile when the dream is good, or squirm when it’s not, the way your breath is always calmer when you’re holding me, and the way you wake right at the perfect moment every morning. . .” Jack trails off because he doesn’t know what else to say. Though, really he does; he just doesn’t think he could put it in to words.
“So . . . in other words . . . I’m what matters?” Alex teases, smiling playfully. Jack’s nod imitates Alex’s from before. So, both boys are standing there, arms around each other, grinning like there’s no tomorrow, and, really, neither cares if there is or not. . . as long as they’re together when it happens.
