Hetaween
Don't really know what to post here, so I'll just write about what got me this account in the first place.
Hetaween, I had watched plenty of the past events but never participated. This year I thought "Ah, what the heck. May as well have some fun this afternoon." ONE WEEK LATER. I am sleep depreived, behind on homework, a tad obsessed, but most of all HAPPY.
I've gotten so many smiles from everyone in the Hetalia Live journal community. We waited, begged, rejoiced, F5'd, danced, sang, laughed, shouted, linked, and watched all week together. When someone was sad or stressed they simply had to post and there'd be an army of people giving virtual hugs and sharing kind words to cheer them up.
The fact that Hetalia is about the countries of the world makes it all the more evident. We can be a world, a generation who gets along. Maybe we don't understand or agree with everyone but we know how to move past that and be loving. Celebrating each others countries and cultures, that's what I love about Hetalia. I can just see all the Nations standing together happily.
Don't get me wrong, I realize that's not the reason most people are into Hetalia. I understand it's an anime with crazy stereotypes and good looking men. I realize it's rarely the full story of the actual history. And that's okay. It's part of the fun.
Anyways, I'll stop ranting. In the end I just want it to be known how much I appreciate all these wonderful memories and friends.
