Razor Burn
by Scott&Scott (Scott Pomfret & Scott Whittier)

Well, for an early, self-published work of romantic, gay erotica, it's not half bad, really. I had to get a pencil out a dozen times to "fix" errors (most embarrassing ranges from an error on the very first page to mixing up the main characters' names at a key point in the story's resolution).

The plot was horribly unrealistic, unbelievable, and contrived. The characters were stereotypical. The supporting characters had their moments then faded completely when they weren't needed to support the main characters. There wasn't anything incredible or impressive or all that memorable.

That being said, I loved it :-) With sensual, romantic, smutty sex scenes & lovely, angsty boys like these, I didn't really need (or expect) much more. I still loved the main characters and wanted them to get together in the end, despite all odds. The ending went a little strangely & quickly, but it's a Romentics book so I should have known it would have a happy ending; which it did. *happy sigh* They get over their amnesia, give a big "fuck you" to people who treated them badly, and the hot guy gets the other hot guy in the end. Apart from better editing, what more could you possibly want in a fun read?

This is the third (I think) Romentics novel I've read.

EDIT: Hahaha! I find it hilarious that the book cover offended Photobucket.
