Rainbow High

I really love these guys. I found reading this series to be highly addictive, actually. Even if I only had 5 minutes free, I'd dart over to read a page or two of the books; I couldn't put them down until I'd finished with them.

This is the second of three books and it explores the last bit of senior year for the boys. Their relationships are explored a little further, but the store mostly revolves around Nelson's HIV test & his quest to find love, Jason's debate about whether to come out publicly as a gay star basketball player, and Kyle's decision about where to go to college (and how to possibly leave his friends behind).

I went to Tech, so I was a little miffed about their particular role in the story (because they're very open-minded and liberal!) but it's fiction so I wasn't too bothered.

Again, the characters are specific stereotypes and don't veer away from that... but everything was very realistic- the dialogue, the fights, the situations. And it was great to see what happens next to the characters.
