Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
by Kyle Higgins, Hendry Prasetya
Power Rangers were a part of my childhood, and it's neat being able to jump back to these characters in the versions I was familiar with. These comics paint the rangers just the way I remember them--with as much heroism and angst. Love it.
In this volume, there was an overarching storyline about trust and betrayal. Rita plays mindgames with some of the gentlemen and, when the worst happens and their powers are all taken, it's Tommy alone who can step up and save them all with his powers. The ending of this (the solution they come up with is brilliant) really makes me excited to read Volume 3!
I also thought they did a good job showing the strengths and weaknesses of each character while still preserving the team dynamic.
