Ultimate Spider-Man #7: Irresponsible
by Brian Michael Bendis & others
MJ and Peter have broken up, though they obviously care about each other still. A mutant teen shows up at a party and starts blowing up cars. The X-Men swoop in and demask Peter. And Aunt May is in therapy, worried about Peter (on top of dealing with Ben's death and Captain Stacy's death). Poor Peter Parker. This is a lot to deal with.
I loved seeing him work with the X-Men (catching Kitty's eye, I suspect). And I loved his morality, wanting to stop the out of control teen but not wanting to abandon him somewhere he isn't safe. There are a lot of close calls in this issue, but also a whole lot of teenager moments I loved reading about. I love that balance of butt-kicking and normality that Bendis does so well.
