and i know what you mean about daily stop - i was so relieved when they got subscriptions finished cuz then i could try and control myself by saying 'only *that* story Kate'

If Scott would stop pining/whining/getting run over and get some humor, he'd get the good smut fics. Until then he stays a supportive prop.

But rather inconveneint. On the other hand, I'm currently trying to con Jerakeen into helping start an Adam-esque make up challenge/celebration. For very good, very honorable, very supportive and self-affirming reasons...and not because we both want to buy more make up.

but that's what fanfic is for! I want OOC Scott who realizes all his angsting about girls is really just his massive crush on Derek manifesting in awkward ways, and that he really wants to be Derek's puppy. it could happen. it totally could.

Hmm, fair enough. It is weird how little D/Sc fic is out there. I mean the Stiles thing is fairly obvious (the funny ones always get the wolf!) and I suppose the Jackson angel is set but Scott and Derek have that whole mentor thing? Plus Derek killed the Alpha! How is that not a major set up?

though i will admit i totally just buckled and read a couple of Derek/Stiles that were really hot and ... well, now i'm totally on that bandwagon. You're right about fandom liking the funny boys - there's something about sarcasm that is delightful.

that being said, three of those fics had Stiles in a developing bond with Derek a la werewolf mate for life kind of crap anyway, which, fine, i'm perfectly happy to handwave, but it's like, um, Scott is already the beta, why do you need a human beta? poor Scott is not getting ANY play! whiny boys are lame! lolz. fandom, never predictable. always tasty.
