That's where I did my undergrad! When did you graduate? I'm class of '05, Porter College (which used to be College Five, if you're further back than that). What was your major?

heee!! that's soo cool! i'm class of 97 (shudder) and was a Kresge kid. Oh, and Modern Lit (basically lots of postmodern classes and a couple of british lit classes with a prof who i know isn't there any more)

what was yours?

Modern Lit! With a German emphasis, actually, and Women's Studies, which means I spent more than my fair share of time held captive in Kresge Town Hall (worst. lecture hall. ever.). Is Michael Warren the prof you're talking about? They drag him back to teach the Intro to Shakespeare class every once in awhile because he was so incredibly popular.

German writers? COOL! and yeah, oh, that Kresge Town Hall was AWFUL. you poor lady for having to put up with it. And no, the prof I was talking bout was a guy named Troy Boone - he's out in the midwest somewhere now, but I took a bunch of brit-lit stuff from him that was just wonderful. Did you ever take anything from Earl Jackson? He was absolutely crazy, but ... i kinda ended up in the program i'm in because of hiim.

I never did take anything with Jackson, unfortunately. I heard good things about him.
