When people assume that because we're unhappy with the direction of the show recently that's it's automatically because we're angry about the ship. The show is written by people and those people can write some pretty bad shit. Why is this so hard to accept? Sorry I'm not the stepford-viewer, just being quiet like a good little girl and not saying anything bad about a show that's become as dumb as a box of hair. The next episode of House could include House dancing around in a pink tutu, screaming his desire to become a crab fisherman and there are people who will still hold it up like a giant gold dildo.
We'll leave when we're ready to. I know that if we're unhappy with something, especially something as insignificant as a tv show, complaining about it seems silly. Although, why do people talk about ANYTHING, then? I like to talk about books I've read and movies I've seen that I don't like, yet when it comes to tv, there are some people who just hate it so much. We're suddenly whining and complaining instead of just talking about the things that drive us nuts about a show we all watch. What's funny is that these people act so superior, as though they're so above it when, really, it's simply that they aren't as into it as some of us are. And I'm tired of these types of people making the rest of us feel like we need to apologize for that.
Some of us haven't completely given up hope on the show and hope that by publicly complaining about it, TPTB may prick up their ears. Some of us stay because we hope it's going to get better. We still love what the show used to be and continue hoping it will get back to that. In the meantime, we WHINE talk about all the shit that's pissing us off with OTHER LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE. And sometimes, we talk about things that piss us off about our ship this season. On a comm of HC SHIPPERS. It's fun to bitch about it and it lets us vent about what we hate, including our SHIP. On a SHIPPER COMM. So I guess I'm confused as to why people get high and mighty when they go to a SHIPPER COMM and are pissed off about the reaction of SHIPPERS about SHIPPING issues. I mean... seriously?
Who is anyone else to tell us not to? I'm so tired of people coming to the HC comm and the only participation they have is to put people down in order to get some twisted sort of attention so they can remind us, once again, they don't like our ship. We get it. Seriously.
What's funny is they tell us we should stop complaining and just quit watching if we're so unhappy yet they continue to visit the HC LJ despite how much they seem to hate it. I have a feeling the irony of that is lost on them.
As for the new cast...would it be better to say 'Kumar' or that other dude in Olivia's place? I feel the same disdain for them as i do for OW. OW just gets talked about the most because she gets more airtime (and press, and storylines...) than kumar and other dude combined. If we say OW, it's automatically assumed it's because we're silly, threatened shippers. Some people may indeed be comparing 13 to Cam just because it's easy to do; they all fill out their roles in a very close comparison to the original 3 ducks so it's not so irrational to compare them. So maybe we should say 'Kumar' from now on so we aren't automatically accused of being biased because we happen to be HC shippers.
I think we hate what *they all* represent: an unwanted change in the show. And why the fuck shouldn't we talk about that if we want to? Part of the fun for a lot of us is talking about the shit that bothers us about the show. and when - if - it gets better, we'll talk about how happy we are that it's gotten good again. And if the show really does become an intolerable piece of crap, trust me... we'll all stop watching. Until then, we're still hoping for the best, talking about storylines or characters we love/hate, etc.
I'm so tired of being or watching others being policed by cockgobbling comm bullies who can't smell their own bullshit.
But I guess that's whining, huh?
