Taryn's friend Yuko is visiting from Japan. Taryn is entertaining her for the duration of her stay.
I firmly believe that this trip will not be complete without a showing of Dukes of Hazzard.
You've got Jessica Simpson, the guy from Jackass, and Burt Reynolds. You've got guys jumping over shit in their car and going "YEE HAW!".
That right there? That's America.
On a slightly related note, a week or two ago I figured out a phrase in Japanese: "sore wa tsuki ja nai. sore wa SPACE STATION des."
"That's no moon, that's a space station."
The illustrious miz K8 taught me another, equally important (and somewhat more useful) phrase: "warui kaji", or "I've got a bad feeling about this." (More formal variant is "warui nakaji".)
I don't think that integrating it into my daily life will be difficult. Just like when I learned the German for "can I go home now?" ("darf ich jetzt nach hause?").
