Status update!
So many things going on... Wanted to take a few minutes and add an update for all those people I haven't gotten to talk to lately.
My loving husband will soon be on his way home from his six month vacation in the Sandbox, courtesy of Uncle Sam. I am very happy that he has been kept safe over there and am keeping my fingers crossed for the next few weeks until he is safely over on this side of the pond.
Work is going well. I keep learning more and more, which is always a good feeling. My boss is ex-military, so he understands the unique challenges of being a quasi-single parent due to our lovely Commander in Chief's decisions. Hopefully will be looking at a promotion when I get back from vacation.
Though it is going to be an extended vacation. I get 8 weeks maternity leave and am trying to hold off taking it until I actually have the baby. Only six weeks to go now. For the first six months, I didn't really look pregnant but was sick ith a nasty cold and morning sickness. Now that I am feeling good, I got this huge belly to work around.
This weekend I tried to finish up the nursery. Was supposed to be a den decorated in coffee colors and wood paneling. Now it is empty of books and computers, filled with baby stuff, and decorated with Classic Pooh stuff from Target. I like how it looks and hope the little one will too.
Not much else to say. Haven't had that much time to talk online or work on some projects there. Hopefully I will be able to relax in a few weeks and get working on them.
