Wiping down the glass with my
Bright blue rag
Letting sunlight dance across my face

Walked across the street today
Bought hot cocoa and sipped
The warm sweetness
Letting chocolate seep into my bones

Made up the bed today
Crisp sheets stretched and folded under the mattress
My comforter and pillows neat
Warm from the heat of my body

Smiled today, laughed today, sang today
Because it's not the day you left
Anymore
