Wasn't that the tag line for the Sims 3? Anyway, I was reading someone's comment on someone's friends, friends, friends journal (you know how it is) it got me thinking about the different personal ways you can play the Sims 2. So here is a run down of how I play, and I'd be really interested to see if others do the same, or something completely

For the most part I used to have more traditional games. As in hoods in which my sims would actually work for their money and learn their skill, etc, etc, but I've never been too realistic about it. In some cases I think of each day as a year, because overall makes the most sense, but for me sim-world is sim world, therefore works very differently than real world, so I don't worry if the teen stage is proportionally longer or stuff like that (except for pregnancies, only coz they annoy the hell out of me, so those are usually a lot shorter!). Also, for the most part as well, my sims simply grow up in the blink of an eye, as it is in the game, I don't care much about making it subtle for storylines (unless needed in an specif case)
I'm also extremly random with my games, so in the beggining I used to start new hoods (mostly strangetown) over and over again, but even though all those games were different, after a while it became extremly repetitive, so eventually my game style change complelety.
Now, unless I'm doing an specif challenge or something of the kind, my sims don't got to work/school, or gain skills traditionally because Ive done so 5854958404 times already! XD They don't fall in love, get married, they don't even pee unless I need a pict of it!! :P
NOPE ... right now, sims are mostly puppets while I play around trying to get the perfcet shot of one of them falling from a stair or dying in the middle of a fire *insert evil laughter here*
But again, it depends on what I'm doing (and my mood, a lot too) and I always have more than one game running at the time, so I can switch when bored or tired of the same (I do suffer from a chronic case of sim-add, jic! rofl)
And I don't use ACR, (or inteen) but can't play without inSim! :P

My cat is staring at me because I'm laughing so hard. Ah, the joy of sims, they really are under our control *mimic your evil laugh ;)*.
Until I wrote it all down I didn't realise how scarily realistic I make my game. I too in the earlier years of the sims use to begin a new neighbourhood every few months. Sim ADD can indeed be dangerous, I'm always fighting against the urge to play ahead of my story, it's a delicate balance lol.
I use to have imSim but if I remember, a while ago now, I had a blow up with downloads and when they said it was no longer supported I got worried. I'm using SimBlender which was what the site recommended instead. If only in real life we could choose out career position, age, and romantic relationships lol.
