The day today
Had a hectic but somehow boring day today.
It started off with us oversleeping and staggering out of bed at 8:15! However thanks to qidane also oversleeping, tobyaw was able to drive B and I to school so she wasn't late (just).
My MIL phoned with some very sad news while B was at school and I was on the phone to her for ages.
I picked B up at 11.30 and we headed off to Kirkcaldy to get the car re MOT tested. It needed a couple of things done to it in order to pass. I'd already sourced new rear tyres and saved a massive £10 by getting them from a local garage.
After a rather indifferent lunch we dropped the car at the garage for 1:30 and went for a walk. The estimated timing was an hour and a half but ended up being three hours. Apparently, in order to replace the washer bottle, the front bumper has to be removed!!
B was so good and patient while hanging around the garage/showroom. One of the staff came over and commented on it :) So on the way home we stopped at the park in Cupar and played for about 20 minutes. We got home at 6:00 and I got on with making supper. tobyaw and qidane got home at about 6:40 just as the food was ready.
tobyaw bathed B and read her a story while I rang my father back. He'd called me to say his birthday present had arrived, which is great as the actual day isn't for another fortnight. I then caught up with some computer admin stuff before going up to tuck B into bed. She was hiding under the covers in our bed with tobyaw. She declared she wasn't tired but I haven't heard a sound from her since I came downstairs.
Come to think of it I haven't heard a peep from tobyaw either. Has he fallen asleep in the bed fully clothed? I think so.
Off to bed myself soon and we'll try not to oversleep tomorrow.
