And so it is

A little belated, but in all it's glory

The Edmund Barton cardi. I still need to seam it, and knit the front band on, but let me tell you now. It is perfect. The fit, the shape, every tiny little stitch, is wonderful. I am in love. Seaming will be next week, after I stop drooling over my new order from Bendigo.

This is for Sesame, from Magknits. The colors are not even close to being accurate, but it's been a glorious tropical storm day here in Northern New South Wales, and the light is terrible for photos.
And this.

200 Grams of pure beautiful red alpaca. It is the most delicious thing I have ever held in my own hands. It'll make a lovely hat and mitten set to match my new black winter coat (the first I've ever owned!)
Did I tell you that it snows in my new city? And there is no palm trees? Or tropical storms, or 110 degree 100% humidity heatwaves?
It's going to be blissful.
I havent quite worked out a pattern for it, but ive been playing around with some different cable patterns. I need to find something that is as beautiful as the yarn.
For now, though, I'm going to enjoy this wonderful weather, watch Gilmore Girls and turn a heel.
See you tomorrow, sweet people of journal land.
