Went to see Harry Potter at the cinema on Saturday night. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the books, but so far have not particularly enjoyed the films. However, I feel like I ought to see them and so many people were telling me how good this latest film was.
To sum it up in one word, I'd say it was "underwhelming".
I found it quite funny, and genuinely laughed at all of the comical moments. I'm glad, because without the humour I don't think I could have sat through it all. I've never really liked Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry as his acting annoys me. The others were OK though, particularly whoever it is who plays Draco - I thought he was pretty good.
The main problem I had with the film was that nothing really seemed to happen. I remember so many more important things happening in the book, and the film just seemed a bit, well, random I suppose?
Anyway, I'll probably end up watching the final film(s), just because to stop now would feel like giving up. I won't get my hopes up though, and will be re-reading all the books again in due course, just to restore my faith in the story.
