Meet Scott and Tessa. "Hi, Scott and Tessa!" Scott and Tessa are Canadian ice dancers (I know, I know ice dancing?) who won North America's first gold medal in the sport at the Vancouver Olympics and then went on take the World title a month later.
They have been skating together since Tessa was seven and Scott was nine. They are unbearably cute but want you to know that their romance is strictly ~on the ice~. Scott is dating Jessica Dube, a (accident prone) Canadian pairs skater. They currently live and train in Michigan with their friends and competitors Meryl "Disney Princess" Davis and Charlie "The Hair" White.
I imagine this is how they are most of the time. Scott is all arm flaily and woo-ing while Tessa just smiles and calmly puts up with it all.
Even their practices ooze sexual tension.
Shamefully, I was unaware of the glory of Scott and Tessa prior to their Olympic debut. I heard their names batted around on CTV and knew of their win but I didn't sit down and watch the video of their free dance until a few days later. I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried upon watching it.
THE GOOOOOOOSE!
At the end of their Olympic free dance, Scott held her in his arms and said, "Thank you so much." An entire country swooned.
After hearing their scores for the free dance and knowing that they just got the gold.
At the top of the Olympic podium.
After winning the Worlds.
Scott frequently kisses Tessa. Girlfriend whaaaat?
Their routines aren't always flowy and romantic. They also do tooth rottingly cute performances such as...
Jack and Diane.
And this ballet/Everybody Dance Now ~monstrosity~
In conclusion, Scott is very happy that Tessa is so bendy.
Scott's wandering hand thanks you for your time.
