I'm just posting transcripts for two of my fav satire skits, because I am bored and procrastinating. (Sorry "taking a break from my essay")
It's Leave It to Stever, starring Stephen Harper as "The Stever".
June: Hi there little Stever. How was daycare?
Stever: Not too swell Mommy. I wanted you to take care of me; instead, there were strangers.
Ward: Well, Stever, your mother has dreams and goals that take her outside the home. It's part of the modern age. You'll get used it.
Wally: Hi there everybody. Guess what? Billy asked me to stay over again tonight. He's pitching, and I'm catching!
June: But you promised to help Stever with his geography homework tonight.
Stever: You gotta Wally! I'm keep mixing up the United States and Canada!
Wally: Golly gee, Billy and I are designing new baseball uniforms. Then making smores. Gotta go!
Stever: Gee, I guess the world just isn't fair, is it Dad?
Ward: Well, maybe one day you can make it so Mommy can stay at home all the time, and so that Wally can't spend all his time with Billy. And maybe one day you can make the boarder between the United States and Canada disappear.
Stever: Swell! I think I'll do just that! Thanks Dad!
June: Ward, I think little Stever took your joke a little seriously.
Ward: Oh well, what's the worst that can happen?
Frank Huxley: readsDear Frank Huxley. Whenever I have a cold, or have OD'd on illegal drugs, I enjoy taking your mixture. It helps get rid of hallucinations and really chills me out, even though it tastes just awful, and makes me want to hurl totally. My dealer and I have just one question. Is Frank Huxley a real person, or a sick idea of a joke?
I have to say, I ask myself that same question when I ever I catch sight of myself in the bathroom mirror, drooling toothpaste. Whenever I'm not sure, I just check my underwear. Sure enough, I find out my real name is "Fruit of the Loom".
Those aren't my absolute favourites...out of Air Farce, 22 Minutes, and The Mercer Report, I would be hard pressed to *choose* a favourite...but those are two that are really making me chuckle right now. Especially the Stever one.
