Well, in current news:
I can't wait to leave here.
And no,
not because Delmar's boring - every town is boring. Every city is boring. Everywhere and everything is boring until you find something to do with it. I could leave and go anywhere in the country and be just as bored as I was here if I did nothing.
No.
Because of the people.
Because of the atmosphere full of both ignorance and apathy that surrounds everything here. Because no one cares about anything but themselves, and it shows. No one will grow up either because they don't know how, or they don't want to. And it's a little scary and a little disturbing and a little frusterating.
I wish I could change it.
I can't.
I can't make anyone realize the importance of anything in the rest of the world. And I can't make anyone do anything, or care about anything, or learn, or love.
All I can do is leave. And if I find nothing better after striking out, I'll have to settle down with everything I have in myself and make do.
Now isn't that a scary thought.
