Being boastful
It's really odd that different cultures and different people seem to see boasting or being proud as something that you really shouldn't do. Normally I see people around me openly showing off about their achievements especially when they've put in a substantial amount of effort. I don't think they should and I'm glad to see them happy. When then do other people seem to react negatively and lash out with harsh comments. It's a bit weird, I would have though any personal achievement was worth celebrating regardless of whether you feel it's much of an achievement or not. People are strange.
