Don't mind me, I'm not really posting content, just dumping possible Noreascon panels of interest somewhere where I can find them later.

Hey, prince_eric: you coming to this? Friday night dinner, even if you aren't?
everything looks so interesting )

You're right about Brust, of course, but I hadn't noticed the gender skew either until I saw that question.

(If only Robins' latest Austen-noir would be out before then! Not that I think it's _quite_ FoM, but because the first was so good and then I could burble to her afterward.)

I didn't realize I might want to go to the Eos talk until I saw their list of authors. I still might not (and DAW is only on there so I can harass them about sartorias's book!), but I was a little surprised, too.

Walter Jon William did a FoM trilogy about an Allowed Burglar...

The Drake Maijstraal books! I love those, and yes, very mannered. I suppose the source material, Panshin's Anthony Villiers novels, would also count.

Well, except that it's not Fantasy. But yeah. Should I get some actual work done today, I'll try to clean up and update the prior draft of the list.

Well, I don't know. Depends how you define fantasy. I mean, I thought the whole thing pretty fantastic. One of those sf vs. fantasy debates? It has the trappings of sf I guess, but I think it has the soul of fantasy.

Good point about the feel of it. I think if I hadn't actually put it under honorable mentions, I'd mentally planned to.
