Well.
School is done for the summer, and my gigantic papers are turned in and my last final only took about half an hour. And now what am I to do with myself? Kohl's is persisting in giving me less than 20 hours a week, which is seriously Not On. I have a self-imposed reading list, but mostly I have been dicking around on the internet all week. So far my most brilliant plan is to open an Etsy shop carrying duct tape purses and knitted catnip mice.
Meanwhile I have been making extensive use of the hammock in the back yard. Bring a pillow, and put a sheet over it to protect your trousers from bird crap, and it is very comfy. Except that the trees are currently blooming, so they periodically drop tiny crumbly bits of flower and leaf on you like rain when there is a breeze. If I trusted my laptop battery, or if it had working wireless, I would bring that outside with me. In the shade, with a bottle of ice water, it only feels like 80ish when it is 105. On the other hand, we took the tarp off the pool yesterday and it was 98 in there. Euch.
Have seen Star Trek, although I had to go by myself. It was wondertastic. It was AU in the cracky livejournal sense of AU: how can we recast/rewrite this in order to make everything young and sexy and shiny (for a very specific-audience-driven subset of shiny), and never mind the gaping plot holes.
