Columbus Day Weekend
This weekend is Columbus Day weekend. Its where all the final Leave peeping activities finish up around here. Actually it may be peaked by now and it lasts for another moth. In years past my friend Dave would want to go up north into Vermont and do most of it there. The few times I went with him we would want to take the Gondola up one of the sky resorts mountains but we always missed it. I have to admit it’s been a while since we did that and I suspect they don’t do it as much. I mean Dave and his partner.
There are still plenty of fall activities to do. Pumpkin picking, Apple picking, things related to Halloween, concerts, museums etc. There is the Theater, and of course sports, local colleges, High Schools etc.
Friday was the short day for me. The Medical Supplies guy came and picked up the unused and equipment. I thought I would have a problem with him because he didn’t get here until 3:15. Yeah I know I am being anal but I wanted him to be here by three. He went to turn around in the newbies’ driveway (I thought he was going to park) and he said he was just turning around. Do the 180 in the street. He got everything into his truck and was gone by 4.
I had my dermatology appointment after that. I managed to get there on time because I took the ride through town instead of the highway. Weekend and commuter traffic was horrible. My appointment went well but I do have to see her in a month for a follow up because of what I showed her on my leg. I can’t see it well.
I got out at 5 and unfortunately was unable to go to Quest to deliver the lab requests for the next few months. They close at 5 and reopened at 6:30 in the morning. I didn’t get up early enough to get there. I just went home. The weather wasn’t so great by then either.
I spent the rest of Friday not doing very much. I made dinner of fish and vegetables and spent most of the night watching TV. I had promised my niece and sister that I would get it in gear and move along with the cleaning out.
Saturday was gym day. It was also weigh in day and depending on your point of view it wasn’t totally bad but not totally great. I did the two classes and then met with Alex at 12:30. In between I did some cooking and later on fell asleep. Late in the day did some shredding and finally got some greeting cards that need to get out.
The weather was a bit over cast until about the afternoon when the sun came out. Still windy at night the moon was spectacular.
I tried to go to bed early as pretty all the movies that were on I had seen and enjoyed a million times. It was NCIS night so I watched that from season 16.
Today I am awaiting Mama Roberta she will be here sometime today. My plan was to go to the gym and grocery shopping. At this very moment I am sitting here writing. I have NCIS: LA on in the background. I did do some stuff. I have to finish the previous entries.
