Is it really worth it?

I sometimes wonder if it really is worth the aggravation of opening my mouth and expressing my opinion, or support to people, or sharing information they may not get.

First, this one girl in the pen pal realm shared on her timeline recently that she had a deer in her yard and somehow the discussion of what to feed them came up.  Many supported her need to feed it and made many suggestions.  Well I replied “not a great idea.''   THE OP asked why.  I shared a link from a federal site that gave reasons not to feed wild animals ( she deleted...) I also stated in another reply that the Humane society also gives reasons.  Her last reply to me is: I do it all the time.  All I could say to her was “Okay I gave you reason why and the issues that could arise.  I just looked up NC laws on feeding wild animals.  There are no fines but there are strong recommendations from the Wild life organizations to not feed them.

Then on the pet locator pages (such as Pawboost or a few other sites) there is ultimately a  number of people saying that the pet owner should leave some item of theirs out (food, toys, bedding, etc).  I expressed my opinion this is not a good idea.  When the bitch became rude to me.  Claims that her vet told her to do this for her own search and that she watched it on Animal planet and what planet do I live on.  First of all I do watch animal planet and all the programs I watch never say stuff like that.  I checked out a few pet related sites and they don’t say “leave things out”.  I was going to leave that group but it would be doing a disservice to those looking for their lost pets.

Of course the little matter at work I spoke of over the weekend.  Sometimes it's better to keep what you know to yourself.

I had a good time at bingo despite an awkward moment with RTBob.  I went to him to let him know that I thought a patient was becoming agitated.  I asked for suggestions and he looked like he got pissed.  It was at that moment I was thinking enough is enough.  I swore I was done with this form of volunteering.  I said something to him about it and he said he wasn’t annoyed with me.  Well I do know if this happens again.  I will resign and send a letter.  I don’t have to put up with this anymore.

I ended up coming straight home and crashing in energy.  I did make some chicken (I was winging it), and did some odds and ends.  I made the mistake of having coffee and I stayed up a little to late.

Sky came up to sleep with me but princess stayed away.  He stayed until probably 3 as he usually does.  He did get me up at 4:30.  I was up and out the door for my first morning walk.

The walk was just under 2 1/2 miles (2.31 miles to be exact).  I walked here.  The early morning was beautiful, daylight was coming and sunrise was just after 5:20.  The homes I walked buy had changed over the years due to the fact of storms, years of use.  They were breathtaking.   It was also fun to watch the are come awake with the runners, walkers, people heading to work  I even had a last (possibly) glimpse of the 125 year old Flagpole on the rock..

When I first heard about it, I figured it was about time not really understanding the reason it was out there.  For generations kids (not me) jump off from that rock into the water below.  I thought it was always in the way but it was to indicate where the oyster beds were.

It was nearly 6 when I got back to I fed the cats, got ready for work, and took off for the shuttle.  I was there early and catching up with people.  The shuttle seemed full to me but then again I almost fell asleep on the way in.

Today would be a triple whammy.  Both GA/Gargoyle, and DG would be on their vacation.  So I actually had to do the mail, and do the things GA/Gargoyle does for the mail.

It was also the day we learn a different way of scanning.  Any thing prior to July is to be done the way we have done it and anything from July 1 new way. I am told the dates could be mixed so we have to be watchful.

I have an exercise class with “A” tonight so I will be fairly busy and tired when I hit the sack.
