It was really chilly (50’s) this morning that I had to put on a coat. It was my combo leather/sweater jacket that really isn’t the type to keep you warm. I don’t want to get those out yet but I am sure it will be time soon. I also don’t want to turn on the heat either.
It was great cuddling with the kitties last night. Tiger was the first to go up with me and around 1 Sky nudged into his spot until maybe 4 this morning. They were running around crazy a few times last night before then. I wasn’t sure if they had gotten into the chocolate chips that had dropped on the floor.
I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed being at bingo yesterday and how much I missed being there! Even after all my bitching the last few weeks about not being told the schedule had been changed for Grandparents day. WE had 17 residents playing this week. That’s the most in a long while. So despite all my blathering I don’t think I will be stopping volunteering for bingo anytime in the near future (unless the ED has other plans).
I managed to get most of the laundry done and made phone calls to the dryer repair guy who called me this morning with numbers and when i called him back he said he would look at it this saturday.
Since I still can’t use my computers at home and I am still not used to using my phone as the main source of internet access. I am trying to catch up on things that I may have missed. I let Chairman Phil know that the mins will be late. AT Lunchtime I placed a call to computer tech Lee and just waiting for his return call.
Got an email earlier this morning from LGPres informing us there is a bake sale and flower sale this coming weekend. I know have to get more ingredients for the no bake cake (I ate the crust last night) i can do that near the end of the week.
There is canvassing tonight for Candidate Cindi and tomorrow for all candidates. I committed myself for tonight after 6:30. I was planning on going after my session with Alex tomorrow and I think that will work (but if we are canvassing and the weather is expected to get messy then it's going to be phone banking).
Got an email from Dr. T today and she forwarded a message from a former GFWC-CT President who has been our ally and friend in our early days. The woman has been dealing with cancer and is expected to have surgery this winter.
It is Homecoming time for many of the schools this month. All the schools I have attended (mostly Endicott and Linden Hall) have been sending out a lot of Alumni notifications for activities and events. The Interim President of Endicott sent out a Presidents notification reflecting on the loss of Richard Wylie who passed away in early spring. On Facebook there have been many discussions regarding memories of Linden Hall and I believe they have already sent out Save the date cards for next years Reunion Weekend.
Well I have to get back to work..............
ENJOY the day...
