Lazy Weekend

Feb 26, 2017 11:33

Yesterday started off very foggy and by the end of the day and into the night it changed to clouds and eventually rain. It turned out to be a fairly lazy day and I spent most of it falling asleep in front of the TV. I did a little bit of laundry and a little cooking.

I did get a call from the nursing home informing me that there was a flu shut down on the second floor. They gave me the option to either come and play with the small group or not come in at all. I had tried to call back but it didn’t answer but according to the message I listened to they said I could call today and I did around 9. Man it was tough to get a hold of her. I really don’t like their system. I had already told the girls via email that I wasn’t going I just hope they got it.

Since my plans changed for today. I need to go to the store and get a gift card for the kid’s party tomorrow night. I had gotten a text from Liz yesterday saying they were going around 6 and sort of dressed up. I will be wearing one of the suits and probably all day. I will get it all set up later.

Jen posted the announcement of their move to Facebook today. I just hope no one spoils the surprise for tomorrow night (although I have sneaking suspicion they already know).

My Cousin sent out an email update from our cousin who has been dealing with Cancer. He continues to have chemo and it does have the usual effects on him. His next treatment is next week. His brothers have been incredible supportive in his care. He also extended thanks to the family for the cards and emails. I sent the update to MM his classmate.

I ordered my coffee again along with some tea. I probably didn’t need it as quickly but it had 12% off (which wasn’t much). I will be getting the kitty supplies later. I will get those later on this week.

I am going to try and watch more of the Battle of the 5 armies tonight. I have been finding it really hard to watch. I have no idea why. I have a feeling this is how “Sauron” was started.

Just before Noon I found out that Actor Bill Paxton (Titanic, Twister and many other movies) died from complications from surgery. He was 61. He was really good in the roles I saw him. He was currently in the TV series Training Day based on the Movie starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawk.

Today the sun is bright but with some clouds…from my point of view they are fluffy and white in one area the other is gray over the sound. No rain so far..

I better get going…
