Helene Made impact
Helene made an impact. Liz’s Flight was just getting into SC yesterday, and the plane had to turn around and come back to Tweed (the local airport). She told me that Saturday’s flight was going to be delayed as well. She had to make other plans. I was thinking she would be disappointed, but I talked with her later and she said she was going to try again last night for SC. By the time I left for home she was leaving to be there at the airport by 6.
I sent her a text late last night, but I haven’t heard from her yet, but I expect something at a way decent hour than 7 in the morning.
I got a text from SIL Janis. Big Brother came home today from the nursing home/rehab center. Last I heard, he was napping. I just hope he is going to be using the wheelchair and walker.
She also sent me some cat videos on Instagram, and they are funny.
A friend of mine that I have known in the NCIS Fandom contacted me the other day and told me she is coming up in October. She wants to get together. So, we have tentative plans for Lunch on October 6. I need to find a nice restaurant. She lives in Florida. She was hit by Helene but not as bad as other areas.
Several of my online friends and family (that I have met through various fandoms, groups, etc.) and classmates have all checked in as being safe from Helene. The pictures I have seen from various sources are sad.
It is supposed to rain today but it’s in a few hours. I am supposed to go to the porch fest but I’m not sure I want to stand out in the rain. It must be misting because I don’t see lots of rain. There is a little bit of wind too.
For now though I have some stuff I need to do….
