Word of the Day
Autoschediastical: \ aw-toh-SKEE-dee-az-tik-uhl \ , adjective; 1. Something improvised or extemporized.
A picture of an art object from a different culture could arouse some strange feelings in you, Kathy. You won't know why, but it will spark a new interest in that culture. This probably relates to events deep in your past, which you don't remember. Go ahead and explore this new interest. It'll be intriguing, and at the same time it could help you to release old traumas or phobias. Enjoy! ~MSN

We dug ourselves a hole the last half of 2010. Or, I should say that circumstances dug us a hole. I was off work more than two months, which just happened to coincide with hubby's hours being cut. If not for insurance and AFLAC, things would have gotten a lot worse, but for the last few months we've been engaged in one helluva juggling act. Well, today was catch up day. After being back at work since November, rat holing money and saving a ton on school expenses compared to last fall, we've managed to cover more than $1200 in past due bills, buy my books, and have a little cushion til next payday. Next week, it's back to the savings grind 'cause all those medical bills I racked up haven't been touched yet.
*is exhausted*
While I was on the phone and online getting some of the bills paid - in an effort to stay ahead of the game and cut expenses - I haggled the phone bill down by $40 this month and $30 for following months. I also called the cable company to ask how I could get that bill down (OMYGOD Y'ALL OUR CABLE BILL IS 150 BUCKS A MONTH THAT'S INSANE), and found out I could get it down to $99 (including internet). Hubby said Whoa. Wait just a minute. I need me some sports networks and DVR and that channel where they show the same murder investigations over and over and then there's HBO - can't do without those twenty year old movies repeating every week - and let's not forget ...
Yeah. We still have a $150 cable bill. Good news is that we're paying off the older truck in February and now everything but the medical expenses are all up to date.
I hate being a grown up.
Hows y'all?
