Well, let's see... where to begin? Lots of things are going on. We're overwhelmed by do-it-yourself projects at the moment, and running out of time. But, mom and I agreed that whatever isn't done by Thursday morning is just not going to be done. I believe the slideshows have gone by the wayside. Setup at the mansion is also problematic because the two people who were going to help my mom on Friday are both unavailable now. My grandmother fell out of her attic and broke her wrist severely, so she can't help. And, my mom's best friend growing up, Mrs. Aileen, had to go help her mom, who just had a stroke, in Natchitoches. That leaves my mom with no help, trying to set up all the centerpieces, garlands, and cake tables at the mansion by herself. She can't start until 3:30 because the mansion is open for tours before that... and somehow she also has to be ready for photos at the church by 6:00 pm. Does anybody want to volunteer to help her at the mansion? If you're off that day and would like to help set some things up, please leave a message!
I guess the next wedding snafu happened yesterday. I was delivering rehearsal packets to my bridesmaids, and when I was at Natalie's, her extremely large, previously friendly dog decided to chomp down on my left hand. Yep, my LEFT hand! He got my middle finger, and broke the skin on both sides. I now look like I'm permanently flipping the bird at everyone with my swollen and gashed finger. That should look oh-so-lovely going down the aisle! I'm just so thankful it wasn't my ring finger! =)
I'm going slightly nuts trying to get it all done in time, but all the minor irritations that have come up along the way are working out fine... there will be a sheriff's officer there to handle the situation if a certain uninvited person shows up... one of our groomsmen helped Jason find construction work that covered the remaining expenses for our honeymoon and RD... we were able to get an apartment in Married Student Housing in time... my car insurance could be transferred from my family to just my name with NO INCREASE in price (YAY! YAY! YAY!). Yep, life is wonderful!
Three more days til I am Mrs. Jason Randall Pick. =)
