Week 12 Literature Entry
Well we’ve finally reached week 12, and I have one word to describe how I’m feeling at the moment. Exhausted. So this week, I have taken advantage of the fact that I covered Arcadia in my last post, and doing a little creative piece... a poem… which conveys my exact feelings at the present moment.
Exhaustion
Driving toward the end
Don’t brake, reach break
Work hard, study hard
Move forward, don’t think
Money, marks
vocation, vacation
Punching deadlines, tripping
Induced insomnia
twenty four seven fifty two one
on on on on on.
Overcast rest
Wakeful hours blurred by
word coma
Constructing lyrics
to the soundtrack of 2008.
Just in wrapping up the unit…
This Semester has probably been my favourite so far! It allowed me to examine one of my favourite books (novellas actually) of all time in “Heart of Darkness” and finally provided me with the opportunity to read “1984” which I have wanted to do for a long time (and just haven’t had a chance with my workload). Moreso, livejournal this semester has been especially rewarding for me, because I have pushed myself to respond in both critical and creative ways (whilst I have tended in the past to avoid the creative). Goodluck with your exams guys! And I will see everyone who’s continuing with Lit next year!!
