Because the phone calls won’t let me look you in the eyes and say ‘sweetie, please stay’…..

Current mood: cheerful

Omfg-sooooooooooooooo bored!!!!! What happens when I'm in pre-op for more than a day or 2 is that I get too much done to keep myself busy past the first day or so. Take this week-I'm assigned to 3 days in pre-op. The first day I get so much accomplished that for the next day and a half, I'm bored out of my skull and can't find enough to keep me busy. Also-when I do this, the girl that does the other 2-3 days a week with me here at the office, doesn't have anything to do either-but she gets to slack off because I worked ahead and got stuff done earlier than needed to get it out of the way. So basically I'm working my ass off so she can take it easy. Niiiice.

Also, the nurse I'm down here with this week is suuuuuuuch a pain in my ass! It's like she can't say anything nice about anything. I'm in a really good mood-it's Friday-everyone should be in a good mood!!! Why piss on everyone else's cupcakes? I finally told her today that if she's going to constantly be unpleasant then I'm not talking to her unless its work related. I've called all the patients I have orders on for the entire next month to make appointments-left a lot of msgs on voicemails. Hopefully they call back so I have something to do.

I've been riding my bike to/from work-I LOVE it!!! I can't wait til I live closer to the city and can ride everywhere and everything is biking distance. Although I know when I live there I won't be able to listen to my MP3 player and just ride the sidewalks like I do here. I'm sure it will be quite a bit more daunting to ride there-right now I'm gaining a lot of good muscle tone and getting comfortable with riding one handed and stuff. I still have to get a book on basic maintenance for it so if anything happens to it I'm not completely reliant on anyone to take care of it for me(not that I'd refuse-I'd just like to not HAVE to rely on anyone-I've never had the chance to get used to being able to do that anyway-though I'm sure it's lovely). Anyway-I just really love riding the bike. That might change when it gets hot and humid here again.

Watched disc one of "The Whitest Kids U Know" last night-holy shit!!! Hilarious!!!! IFC picked a winner there. My favorites were "Scarin' Babies", the Hitler rap, Abe Lincoln, sexy deer, and the kid trying to score a dime bag. Disc 2 should be coming Monday or Tuesday. "Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter" should be arriving today or tomorrow. I had to rent that one based on the title alone-I already can tell it's probably a B movie but it sure sounds like it might be fun. Besides, I'm already going to hell anyway. I'm still pissed that I had "Six String Samurai" next, it said "available now" and yet, when it's time for me to get it, it says "long wait". I'm just going to have to buy it anyway on dvd.

I KNEW I should've worn a black tshirt today!!! The one I wore is a very thin beige with the band Queen's logo on the front and says 'we will rock you' across the bustline. It's going to be raining the rest of the day, which means that shirt will be wet. I'm going to get honked at all the way home....I might take the longer, less trafficy way home through Edison Park if it's still raining at 3 when I leave.

Must get sparkling water for Kallnacher cocktails for tomorrow night. The box arrived yesterday from England safe and sound with everything I ordered. :)

SURVEY(thanks TCatt!)

You look out the window what do you want to see?
A beach with the Chicago skyline behind it-sunny or moonlit, it's the most beautiful thing ever J

A band you wish still played live
The Pixies(yes, I know they've done a few, but I couldn't get tix-they sold out so fast!!!!)

People call the way you drive
I don't drive-but when I did it was all good

What is the most money you would spend on a pair of shoes?
I walk A LOT so I go through them pretty fast. I usually go to Payless and stock up every few months(which I need to do for summer really badly next payday & I need new sneakers for work)-so I end up paying no more than $20 a pair. The most I've spent recently though was $35 for my Chuck Taylors.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Neon purple

What woke you up this morning?
Alarm clock on my phone

Where are you?
My office here at the hospital

Random thought
"I hate it here" ~ Spider Jerusalem

Where would you like to live?
Someplace between Wrigleyville and Andersonville.

How often do you log in to myspace?
Daily(and yes, I'm embarrassed about it).

What are you doing this weekend?
So far nothing tonight, movie night with Max Saturday, nothing yet for Sunday except sleeping late. OH! I can stay out late Sunday night because I don't have to be at work until 10am on Monday. Woo hoo!!!

Oh-and I'll be watching my White Sox kick some Cubbie ASS(yeah...I said ass...in all caps)!!!!!!!

Favorite sushi roll
Godzilla roll at Maki Sushi in Park Ridge(that's just my favorite so far).

What do you want to do right now?
Go home and get stuff done before the weekend-I keep thinking I have all weekend to do things around the house, but then I get invited out at the last minute and it gets left for during the week.

Last time u got flowers?
I'm not a flowers kind of girl-as far as tangible gifts from a love interest go, I prefer something that lasts longer(bonus points if its something they made-even if it's dinner-and who can resist a man that's good in the kitchen???).
