Beige?
Twenty-eight days until Senior Ceremony/graduation. Something like two weeks before Senior Mastery Presentations. I'm roughly six months late with my Senior Mastery research paper. School is over for good in a little over a month.
That's really weird to think about. Not the end of school so much as actually graduating, I mean. I honesty didn't expect to get this far.
There was a semi-fancy banquet thing the other night in honor of kids who don't fail at school, and it turns out I've exceeded expectations. It was cool; I went with Mom, Dad, and Kelly, and we got a semi-fancy meal complete with ambient harp music. Not a bad evening. It'd have been better if Erin could've come, even though I'd already exceeded the guest limit.
On Tuesday we theatre kids showcased the scenes we've been working on, and while I thought every other group did spectacularly, my scene ended up doing a nice Hindenberg imitation. I was furious. Still am, really, but there's nothing to be done. Rumor has it that one wouldn't know there had been mistakes unless one was familiar with the script, but I know, and that combined with knowing none of the mistakes were made by me puts rather a negative slant on the whole affair. Curse Layton for assigning lousy scene partners.
