Many fun encounters on the road
driving along at a fast pace
I brake to allow a Canadian Goose and his pal cross the street
At first, I'm annoyed
I yell out my window
"Stupid jay walking goose- use the crosswalk"
But then I smiled
It's not everyday you are forced to stop and take notice of nature
Then today while running an errand for work
I was stopped by a wild turkey crossing the street
Just like the joke always said,
"Why'd the turkey cross the street?"
It really was to get to the other side.
His buddy trailed behind him as well.
I want a turkey posse that all make cool gobbling noises.
That would be sweet.
Then on my way back,
I came across a little baby squirrel in the middle of the road
I slowed down
he kept hesitating in his movements
"left, no right, no left, no right..."
i came to a complete stop and waited until he was safely in a tree before I continued my drive.
Spring is here
Summer is around the corner
Nature is all around
and I am loving every moment.
